The largest source of pollution in the world is constituted by sewage and garbage which constitute about 80% of the total pollution. Environmental pollution is currently the biggest challenge facing the word today. Due to increase in population worid wide the untreated sewage discharge in lakes & rivers has increased. Even the garbage has increased manifold on daily basis. This was assessed during World Water Week by United Nation Environment Programme.
